the pro's are making more money, getting complements about how well you play, having a great hobby, doing something that you love, acheiving what you wanna do. feeling good about yourself
Con's well loosing money, getting addicted, lossing frends and family cause your out gambling, missing the special moments in your childs life. gambling can lead to drinking and maybe drugs.

Gambling will strip you of your savings... And the desire to recover it creates an addiction, the main temptation coming from occasional wins !
The only advantage is the experience and knowledge about the futility of gambling, and the value of 'hard-earned-money' , gained out of this addiction ! Not really needed the har-way, and not worth it , considering the precious life-time lost to learn this silly thing !

For the gambler, there are only cons.
For the casino, this is where the pros are.
The casinos don't make money by making gambler's rich. True some get lucky, but conventional financial wisdom is that you have a better chance of making money through smart investing.
