Pray for them.
Hold them accountable for their actions.
Don't be petty and spiteful, but realize that they are not your friends. Avoid contact whenever possible, but do nothing to harm them (unless the "harm" is a result of holding them accountable, such as if they slash your tires, call the police and press charges.)
Don't confuse "love" and "mushy romantic feelings. The highest form of love is a pure wish that the person receives in life what is for their ultimate best good. If they are nasty and hateful, the best for them could be circumstances that would cause them to reform their ways and develop compassion. Maybe they NEED some horrible tragedy, or to spend time in jail, in order to mend their ways. So pray that God sends them what they need. Tough love. Just don't personally do anything yourself to bring on the tragedy, because you are far better than that. Just keep praying and sticking to your principles, and they will eventually trip up and get what they need (or what's coming to them, depending on how you want to see it.)

Pray for them to come to the saving knowledge of the LORD Jesus Christ. You don't have to hang around enemies, be phony in treating them like you like them when you don't. That's flattery and it's a form of hate. Turn them over to God. Sometimes the kindest thing you can do is ignore and stay away. Love isn't blind, nor stupid, nor in denial of the facts. It just doesn't seek revenge, nor stoop to the same low level. That's all. Vengeance belongs to the LORD.

Try to find something that you sincerely admire about them (wow, they did really well on that test, they were really nice to that person, that's a really cool hobby/talent they have). If you can't do that, try to figure out the circumstances behind their actions (he was a real jerk these past few months, but he's been going through some hard times...), try to help them out, maybe you'll become better friends.
