Don't quote me on the year, but about 50 years ago I think, Pakistan and Bangladesh used to be a part of India. At some point, and I'm not quite sure of all the history involved, someone decided that all the Muslims in India should move to the North-east and North-west parts o India and all the Hindus in those areas should move into the main part of India (and much bloodshed occurred in this crazy process). Then, those sections of India were basically cut off and they created the country of Pakistan. One part was West Pakistan and one part was East Pakistan. Since W. and E. Pakistan were actually not connected and their borders were very far away, eventually they also seperated and East Pakistan became the country of Bangladesh and West Pakistan became just "Pakistan."

Therefore, in a sense, Pakistanis are Indians. Many of their people were a part of India at one time. The main difference is religion. However, as for nationality, Pakistanis of course are not Indians; they are Pakistanis. This is because, simply, Pakistan is not part of India, it is it's own country and nation.

There are many different groups of people in India but Pakistanis, Bangledeshis, and Indians have some similar origins in terms of race, yes.

There is only one race, Human. All others are cultural artificiality's invented to justify dehumanizing and oppressing others. Ethnicity is more accurately defined geographically (as in: to what kind of terrain and environment is your body best suited) or linguistically (please double-check me on this but I seem to recall that the languages of Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and parts of India are within the Indo-Aryan subgroup of the Indo-Iranian languages, which are in turn a part of the Indo-European family). This would, I suppose, make you an Aryan. I know that Hitler used that term to describe Germans, but he was a stupid, uneducated, buffoon, the Germans are actually Teutons. Hope this helps.
