When you're in the water, stuff still comes out. I don't know where this rumour got started, but I think it's because it just gets washed away quickly, so women usually don't notice it, and it doesn't stain clothes. To be sanitary, either don't swim in the pool, or use a tampon. Just wear a tampon! Everyone has to eventually! It doesn't make you not a virgin anymore, and it won't kill you to have it in for less than 8 hours. When you're using it you'll be shocked that you ever didn't want to.

Stuff still comes out when you are in the water. Either stay out of the water or wear a tampon. I hope you dont have a light colored suit.

i think you should wear a tampon becuase blood will still come out and it's not fair to the people around you. you are a girl and you need to deal with it. buy yourself some brand name tampons and use them. it's not like you have to use them for the rest of your life. it's just one day. if you insert it properly, you won't feel it. if it's hard for you to insert then put some lubricant on it. good luck and remember to change your tampons every 4-8 hours. :)
