The Pyramids in Egypt, the Spinx, King Tut's tomb. Lake Victoria. The Great Nile River. Mt Kilimanjaro, Sun City South Africa, Trinity Cathedral in Ethiopia.

Check out the Mosque in Djenne, Mali, and in Larabanga, Ghana.
There is the Route de Non Retour (The Road of No Return) in Ouidah, Benin, which was the route that a large percentage of slaves took before they left Africa for the New World. There was a tree there that they had to walk backwards around seven times, I believe, to symbolize that they would not be coming back. Ouidah is also the capital of Vodun, which is what Voodoo was developed from in Haiti and New Orleans.
There are the Tata Somba houses of Benin and Togo. There is also a town in Benin called Ganvie. It is built out on the water because the king of that area was out to kill all the people in the tribe of Ganvie, but he didn't go onto the water. So they built their town out there to escape him. They live on the sea and from the sea. It's pretty cool.
There are some pretty amazing sights in West Africa. These are just a few and they are structures you can get good pictures of.
I forgot to mention the Temple de Python in Ouidah. It's directly across the road from the Cathedrale there. I have a really cool picture of the Cathedrale as seen through the trees and over the roofs of the huts in the Temple de Python. Vodun meets Catholicism.
