No. Unless of course it doesn't have antivirus software and a firewall along with a 100% duty cooling fan and a radiation barrier on the CRT with remote brain wave blocker shields around the CPU. Then there's the open port concern and high freqency skin effect on the coax...........Seriously, though, a lot of people support the idea that it's actually better to leave the computer on all the time due to temperature differences and inherent surges on boot up and shut down.

Do you sleep in the same room as the computer? Do you sleep right next to it? If not, then why are you asking? Anyway, my roommates and I kept our computers on all night (there were 4 of us) with the windows closed. The doors to the two rooms were open. None of us came out with any *major* problems. haha No, seriously, you should be fine! :)

No more than a radio or electric fan would.
However if you are still connected to the Internet it may affect your computer which would affect you later when you find some hacker has logged onto your computer with one of his/her tracker search programs.
I'd check my bank accounts or change some passwords!

convinced, yet provided that you're a snake or a mafia sort boss.. the theory of route to assist you to backstab your enemy with no contest. curiously Samurai subculture in Japan frowned upon such behaviour making assassinations more durable and bigger call for for more effective skill. i imagine mr ordinary keeps his acquaintances closer as his enemies are possibly both demanding and non deadly to his life.

It's fine. I know people who are amazing with computers, and know everything about them. They sometimes keep it on for days at a time.
