Get a really cool haircut and style with great color ( try to keep it natural, no pinks or blues because usually schools with dress codes have a problem with unnatural colors) your hair will make you stand out and is the best way to show your personality!

Make your uniform you own style. Add a scarf. Wear different colored shoes that'll be stand out from what everyone else is wearing. Add band pins to your shirt. No bookbags? What's up with that? Oh well, that just gives you the opportunity to wear a handbag. Preferably an oversized colorful one that'll fit all your books in it. Always, Always...Style your hair! It ties everything together. Wear makeup if you want.
And if this is inappropiate, then write a letter to the board of education expressing your concerns. State that you know school isn't a fashion show and is a place for learning, but you'd appreciate not wearing hideous clothes. Suggest different uniform attire. Pants without ginormous belt hoops. The choice to wear sneakers. A polo shirt that shouldn't make you look like Steve Urkle when you tuck it in.
Anyways, good luck sweetie.

It won't hurt you to tuck in your shirt, and everyone else will be dressed the same way, so it's not as if you will be the only one. You can put on the fun stuff when you get home. Buy some cool underwear to wear under the uniform. Smile, no one looks good if they're pouting ,about the dress code or anything else.

I had the same problem at one of the schools I went to what I did was try to pick clothes that were stylish but still in the dress code like maybe with a cute design. and I had jeans that had embroidery but with loops. If it help take regular blue jeans and embroider them yourself I you can I did. I hate the no book bags thing, I don't know what to do there. And the shoes, I pick the best shoes that I could like with shapes and colours. That was hard for me since I love Flip-Flops!

Accessories!!!
Does it say what kind of belt? Get a unique one...red is very trendy right now as is anything with skulls if you're into that. Any item of clothing that they don't specify a color or style for is open for interpretation ;)
Wear unique jewelry...earrings, necklaces, bracelets, whatever. Don't go overboard with too many things at once, stick with one really unique or attention-getting piece at a time. Think of your uniform as a blank slate and use accessories to show off your personality and creativity.
Good luck, I am just thankful my school never did that, I would have been in the principal's office every day, I'm sure!

I went to a high school with a similar dress code. Not much you can do but suffer through it. We always found little ways to get around it, like rolling the bottom of your shirt. There are other ways to express yourself. We always found ways around it, and every year there were several rules added to the rulebook because of the things we tried! You'll make it, though. Just push the boundaries where you can, and bring clothes to change into at the end of the day.

Yea, reform to the dress code and make youself feel good about it so that you will look good. Be grateful you don't have to wear a uniform! When I was in high school, it was like that. I didn't mind. But in addtion, nobody was to wear white shirts/tops made of a material that could be seen through. But girls wore such white tops, anyway- I noticed it more when I was grades 10 and 11.

You think you've got it bad? I have to wear a gray plaid skirt with a white button down shirt, a tie, knee high socks, black old lady shoes, and a black sweater. I look about 80 years old. Shoes must be tied at all times or you get a detention, shirt must be tucked in, tie tied tight, no jewelry at all, can't wear your hair down (it's unladylike), no makeup, only your ears can be pierced. If you fail to do that, you either get a detention or suspended until it's fixed. I go to a private all girls Catholic school.
