Since 1982, Brazil never had another great team. !990 was pretty good also. But Brazil doesn't excel at football, they excel at winning. They are so self confident that they can win with the mediocre teams they had in 1994 and 2002. Their last great player was Romario. This year, their mediocrity finally caught up to them. They were confident that Ronaldinho, and average player was going to carry them. And he is a choker. We'll have to see if they can develop some good players in the next 4 years.

Brazil is a great team, but the problem is: they have too many individual star players who only mind about themselves, and eventurally, lost against France. I'll say becoming a sorry team full of older, but legendary individual players, and after the experience in Germany, they'll need new talents that'll make them number one again. However, my team is Germany -- supporting them all the way! Euro 2008 and watch out for them in WC 2010. Germany will make history!

while i would never call brazil "sorry" at soccer, they r loseing some of their power. i do not believe that they r the best team in the world any longer, that title probably belongs to either Italy, Germany, or (this hurts to say, b/c i hate this team) France. However , Brazil is definatly still in the top 5, maybe top 3

I will only say one thing: Just because they have won many World Cups doesn't mean they will win everytime. They're not becoming better, the other teams are. That's why they got disqualified.

I think there are great superstars, but individually, not used to play in a team for others like it happens in Real Madrid.
Someone has to sacrifice for the team and the Brazilian megastars are not going to do it.

i think theyre slipping but not yet at a "sorry" stage. i think they need alot of improvement based on their performance in the world cup...not just losing to france, but only winning by 1 or 2 goals in all of their matches.
if they want to stay #1 (on the charts and to their fans), they either have alot of explaining to do or they better start proving themselves more.
argentina is creeping up and i have a feeling they will soon take over the #1 spot. yesssssssss!!!!!!!!!
