I'll copy my post from here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avt2i.6dLricL8Uvqyztxazsy6IX?qid=20060723211636AARtnrB and change one word.

Wait, wait, wait - you actually think that the Westboro Baptist Church represents liberals?! If conservatives and liberals can agree one thing, nay, EVERYONE can agree on one thing here: We all hate Westboro Baptist Church. The WBC is an extreme Calvinist group that is by all means hated by all.

Geez, take a course in logic and pay attention when the professor mentions fallacy of composition and the fallacy of hasty generalization. Also, be sure to check out the strawman!

The ones that hate the troops in this story is only Fred "the freak" Phelps and his gang of ******* from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka and www.godhatesfags.com and they are anything but liberal.

I'm a liberal and I don't hate our troops at all, I just wish that they didn't have to be in this war. Every death I hear of in this mess makes me want to cry. I can't speak for anyone else, liberal, conservative, Republican or Democrat, but only myself.

The ACLU is a little weird as far as I'm concerned, taking some things to extreme, while I do understand the principle that they're acting on. Freedom of speech is vital to the survival of democracy so maybe it's worth it to let the idiots have their rights as well. Who's to say I'm an idiot or not? Some reading this may have already decided that I am, for all I know, but I wouldn't care to have my right to speak taken away because others disapprove of my message.

My only worry in this case is that the rights of the grieving persons to their privacy and their right not to be harassed or traumatized may outweigh the right of free speech of the others.

I am not a lawyer or an expert of any kind in constitutional law, so some of my views may have no foundation in law. I'm just an average American citizen with my own heartfelt opinions.

No proof that its conservatives that hate our troops. Those people picketing our service men and women are religious nutcase conservatives.

Conservatives cant stand America and our troops. It always made me wonder why Bush and Rumsfeld didn't want to give our troops Armour for their humvee's.

Or the troop bashing comment Rumsfeld made when he said "we might not have the best fit military, but you run with what you got".

They will find some liberal leftist judge to rule in their favor. The ACLU is great a Judge Shopping. Hopefully the appeals will overturn it.

No, it's proof that the ACLU is interested in the rights of all people, no matter how disgusting their personal views are.
