I've been lucky enough to see this movie twice, and I can't wait to see it again in theaters. I laughed so hard I NEED to see it again to hear what I missed the first two times around, and I even shed a tear or two.

Kevin Smith is in fine form as Dante and Randal return 10 years older. But are they 10 years wiser? After the Quick Stop is unexpectedly shut down, Dante and Randall continue their meager existences at Mooby's, a fast food chain. The movie takes place on the day before Dante is set to leave for broader horizons with his overbearing fiancé, played by the stunning and impressive Jennifer Schwalbach.

Can Dante really survive outside of the comfortable confines of New Jersey? What will Randal do without his hetero-lifemate? And speaking of hetero-lifemates, what are Jay and Silent Bob up to these days? Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson give stellar performances. Dante and Randal are back and in fine form. Trevor Fehrman is an excellent addition to the cast as Elias, new coworker and perfect whipping boy for Randal. I absolutely fell in love with Rosario Dawson as Becky, Mooby manager, several times over. Jay and Silent Bob pop in and out without disappointment. I can't tell you how fantastic it is to see Jason Mewes looking healthy and in top form.

Those looking for the intelligent, wry and vulgar humor of Clerks will find it here. Can you top screwing a dead guy in a bathroom? Oh yes, you can! Those who appreciated the heart of Chasing Amy will find that here too. Only Kevin Smith can pull off that combination. The soundtrack is a must buy as well.

I can't wait to see this movie again.

I have to say that your question really touches my heart. I am 17 now going to be 18 in July and I got into the View Askewniverse nearly a year ago. I first watched Clerks and began to love the movie! Even if it was black and white the story is what was awesome about it along with the dialog! I then myself started to quote lines from the movie! From Clerks I went on to Chasing Amy! When I saw Chasing Amy I began to have a favorite character: Banky Edwards! From there I went onto Dogma then the Clerks animated series. They both were historical and highly quotable! Finally I saw Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! When I saw this just from the little role he has in the movie I began to be a fan of Brodie Bruce! Lastly after waiting for the 10th Anniversary Edition of Mallrats I ordered it directly from the Secret Stash signed by Kevin Smith! I instantly fell in love with the movie! It is my favorite movie! I from then on became a die hard Brodie fan! Quoting and acting like him,(I'm still looking for my Rene though...). I then began to spread the word of Mallrats to my friends and family! Out of all of this I never saw one of these movies in theaters,(having been to young to see them at the time of the debuts). When I heard Clerks 2 was being made and was going to be released in theaters everywhere I jumped for joy! I finally would be able to see a View Askewniverse film in theatres!!! I am counting down the days till it's debut! Then today I happen upon your question or rather statement and It hurts me. I know that the original Clerks will probably be a better movie than Clerks 2, but you don't know that for sure! I think that you should go to see it in theatres and support it and give it a chance before you put it down! That is what I think. I just wanted to put all of this backstory to a new fan to an older more wiser fan. Please just give my answer some consideration.

You should only see it if you have seen Clerks. Only then will you understand the humor in the 2nd movie. Beside Clerks has some of the best sayings of all time, like Dante-"My girlfriend sucked 37 *****!"...... Costumer-"In a row?"

snootch to the MOFO nootch, it was great but there were alot of refrences to old movies. Like when Randel and Dante finally have the quickstop up and running and Randel say "your not even supposed to be here today", thats straight out of Jay and silent bob strikes back theres others but i cant remeber. It was a great movie and should be shown to children on educational television for sure.
