MySpace Power Outage shuts down site
Myspace.com posted an announcement tonight at 6:40PM PST time that their data center had a power outage. Tom went on to post the following message:
"hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom"
There were many bets placed to Tom and he has lost since it is now 9:40PM PST

I'm glad someone posted this question becuase I'm having trouble logging onto myspace. Didn't Tom posted an announcment a bunch of times sayin don't believe that myspace shuttin down it's an hoax? It can't shut down. I am mad right now that I can't use it. I only use the myspace to get in touch with my friends and relatives. I don't use it to talk to strangers. I hate using hi5 it sucks. Myspace is better.

I was on it earlier today. On their website it stated that there was a power outage in LA that affected the area and the location of where the MySpace servers are located. The battery back-up system failed so they're asking everyone to be patient until things are back to operating normally.

tom deleted it cuz too many 12 yr olds were getting on saying they were 18 and being raped by 40 yr old fat men.

They've been having server problems, plus they are updating things. Just be patient, they'll get it back up.
