I hear you! I live about 40 miles east of San Francisco. Our high today was 112. I don't even want to see our next electric bill, cause we've had the air conditioner on almost all day for almost a week! We had to leave and run errands just after noon today and it was so hot when we stepped outside, I almost couldn't breathe! It's like there was no air!!
I'm a native Californian and I've NEVER seen weather like this! I don't really like rain, but the next time it rains, I'm going to totally enjoy every drop!

I don't think I'll die from this heat, but if I dont have my air conditioning when I go to bed, I"ll be a ***** from hell. Ha. I'm in nor cal...north of sac, it's as aoubt 115 average up here past week or two. I'm watching about the statewide blackouts they want to do n shet, which I still don't understand why we'd have a black out, but I realize they will do it if we don't preserve our energy. By the way, someone else was talking about their electric bill from the AC....mine for last month was 112 ****** dollars. And only 65 the previous month. Start preserving. Ha.

My power was out all afternoon, and we live in Menifee, south of Riverside!
It felt like the Twilight Zone, where the Earth was heading towards the sun...
We took a ride in the car, just to experience the air conditioning, at $3.45/gallon.

Yes. I feel like I'm going to sweat my body off. We also had some lightening hit too close for comfort. Ear piercing loud and bright-as-the-sun flash! My 7-year-old son jumped into me like a lizard on a wall. It scared us all. But after the blast and few seconds of realizing we were o.k., we laughed about it.
Stay cool!

it was 114 where i live. and i live in california too. I hate it because you can't even go anywhere, plus it's so much money to have the air on. That sounds fun (the bucket of water)!!!!!!!!
