has anyone used proactiv and been sucessful?
i have scars, like dark marks on my face, and i wanted to know if proactiv really does work?

ya know, that's a hard question to answer. i tried using it for 2 years and it didn't do much for me. i kept saying, "i wasn't using it consistent enough but this time it will be like my religion". it really did nothing for me, in fact, it made my breakouts WORSE! the only thing i can say about it is my skin felt soft (soft with lots of acne, but soft none the less).
My suggestion: try the over the counter kind that you can get at drugstores (i think it's called KlearAction) they say "compare to Proactiv" on the box. it's about half the cost, and i'd think that the kind of skin care system it is, it would give you an idea if it works on your scars.

It does work to clear acne, but it contains a chemical which lightens your skin, so that won't help with your dark marks (are you a follower of Volemort???)
Sorry about the joke there.
Anyway, this chemical help clear acne now but it make your skin photo-sensitive, meaning your skin will age very quickly and you'll be all wrinkly before you need to be.

My brother in law uses the stuff and his skin looks great. It didn't always look that way. And I started using it, and my skin cleared up but I stopped, purely because I felt it was a hassel. Everyday twice a day and it's a 3 step process. But I just got some more in the mail so I'm gonna start using it agian. Good luck.

dont know about proactive but if you get this product called ultra glow it will work on dark spots and will even your skin completely you have to wash face 3x a day to make product work. look in walreens comes with free soap bar 2. no lie everyone ask me way my skin so smooth they think i have skin like pharell from neptunes

Proactiv works for oil and blemishes, not sure about scars though. It exfoliates, so maybe!

My son tried it when it first came out and it did nothing for him. Maybe it has improved since then but we were not impressed.

not if you have acne vulgaris, or other very severe forms of acne, you may need to see a dermatologist

idk...srry from what i've heard it does..but i havent tried it...i use neutrogina oil free daily scrub..and that works for me!
