I hate to quit. And in doing so I broke a promise. But the other person involved had broken her promise several times prior. It justs hurts now. but why do I feel like I should apologise? For being stupid would be my guess, or is caring stupid? Oh well..

You feel bad because you are not a quitter and you are not a selfish person. If you gave a customary two week notice you did the right thing. Your a nice person but be careful because people will take advantage of that. Be strong, don't apologize for something you didn't do and move on. Good Luck.

Caring is not stupid. Holding up a promise is important to build trust and be honest with another person.

It always feels bad to break a promise like that and it's hard to leave a job in this sort of situation. Don't worry about feeling bad--it's perfectly normal IMO.

I guess you feel bad because too wrongs never make it right.
So just apologize and be the bigger person. It will make the other person feel really really bad (even if he/she doesn't show it).. and you'll feel great.
