The end of the world is not near.
The whole world should back off. Do not support either side. Syria, Iran, Arab Nations, US, Western Nations, everyone should just back off. Hezbollah and Hamas should be dismantled. Let them form a peace party - Israel, Palestine and Lebanon promising to co-operate with each other and fight terrorism. They can all live peacefully together if they just treat each other with respect.

End of the world - who knows? As for the so- called war it is a perceived right for Israel to defend itself. For what it's worth, the United Nations was intended to be a mechanism to resolve these types of disputes. Though Hezbollah may be wrong about sending rockets into Israel, the Israelis may be wrong in holding prisoners captive. Given their track record of judge, jury, executioner - O.K.- maybe just executioner, Israel is taking the holier than thou approach. They should have brought it to the U.N. and have a consensus about how to handle the situation. It's like someone setting off a few firecrackers, and the police come and burn down everybody's houses in the neighborhood because the neighbors should have stopped the prankster. I don't think the world will be very sympathetic with Israel, and they should pay for the damage they inflicted as well as Lebanon paying for damage caused by Hezbollah. The restitution for human casualties should be the same as what Israel received from Germany from the war crimes. Both sides should pay the same for each victim. But since the U.S. and Britain tend to act alone without U.N. approval, my bet is that they will support Isreal no matter what they do.

I don't believe that what's going on between Israel and Lebanon is as important as what is about to happen (maybe).
Israel has constituted an emergency draft, so it's likely that they're posturing to invade Lebanon, while provoking Syria and Iran into attacking them, to give Israel a pretext to invade them as well.
Now, if this scenario happens, it won't be long before the US, and several of her Western allies will be drawn into the conflict, which will likely bog down most of the Middle East in a full-scale war.
There's another potential crisis that you're ignoring, as well, which is North Korea. If many Western nations are tied up in fighting in the middle east, North Korea may use the opportunity to give their new missiles, as well as their military, their first combat test. If North Korea gets involved in a conflict, that will draw Japan, China, and likely Russia in as well.
And there you have it: World War 3.

Israel is definitely wrong. Let's look at the timeline:
- Israeli soldiers cross the border into Lebanon and 2 of them are captured by Hezbollah.
- Hezbollah says it will perform a prisoner exchange (release the two soldiers if Israel releases certain Lebanese/Syrian/Palestinian prisoners.)
- Israel refuses to perform a prisoner exchange. Israel demands that the soldiers be released without doing anything in exchange.
- Israel attacks Lebanon.
- The toll of dead Lebanese civilians is in the hundreds and rising.
- Hezbollah counterattacks.
Israel is completely in the wrong, here.

Our puppetmasters in Israel will probably drag America into this war, just like how the jewish lobbyists in Washington such as Wolfowitz dragged America into Iraq. The zionists are starting World War 3 and will do everything in their power to drag America into it, and since Bush is a lapdog for Israel that greatly worries me.

with soldiers in IRAQ, Afghanistan and now guarding the Mexican boarder. There are not enough American military. They will have to either start a draft, remove the soldiers from the Mexican boarders and let the Mexicans come in and train them for the military. I hope that bush leaves the American military out of that war.... you know what gets me bush goes to church and acts like a good christian, but yet he has no problem allowing these military men and women to be killed and to kill. If I stood outside and shot a mexican because I did not like what their country did I would be sent to prison because it is wrong to kill.......

....this war was planned in Teheran with the cooperation of Damascus.
Strategy: elevate muslim dominence over oil production areas
Proxies : Hamas & Hexbollah
Enemy: Israel & Palestine (Mahmud Abbas)
Danger: peace between Israel & Palestine is in sight
Remeday: provoke a war and get Israel to respond
Follow Up: pretend to be good guys, give aid generously to refugees, condemn Israel aggression loudly.
Motive: build that nuclear bomb asap!
Tactics: divert attention to Iran nuclear program
Reason: US is bogged down in Iraq, Afghanistan & the US populace's lack of stamina for a bloody fight
End: fuvk Israel, US n the rest of the western world!

This is a war between Iran's proxy, Hezbollah, against Israel (America's proxy). I fear it will be a prelude to a war between Iran and America...well actually just American bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities and airforce. I don't think Iran will be able to put up much of a fight....as long as we don't send in ground forces.
