Backround info: 2 years ago, I was driving with my older brother and his friend to Baltimore. We pulled over at a rest stop, and my brother got out. His friend said he was going to repark the car, but drove it into the forest where he raped me. We were unable to bring a sufficient case for rape however, and the friend left. My brother tracked him down without my knowing a week ago and shadowed him, and beat him up. Now my brother is in jail, and his trial is soon. His lawyer wont talk to me, so Im askng for help?: what is the worst that can happen? the best? most likely? for one thing, I need his income in addition to mine to put me through colledge, and support my little sister. I am not qualified to be a parent! (my parents are out of the picture)

If he doesn't have anything else on his record, he's probably looking at a couple years probation & anger management classes. No big deal. Worst case scenario...1-2 years in a state facility, unless he's a repeat offender & come up on charge after charge after charge, in which case he could go up for maybe 5 years hard time.
Most likely scenario, if he's got a couple little naughties or doesn't wanna deal with the probation crap, he might do 8-14 months in the county.
As for supporting you & your little sister, take a trip down to the welfare office. Maybe it ain't your idea of a good time, but that's what it's there for.

I am not quite sure. He can get prison time for it. It seems premeditated. Though I had a buddy who is now a police officer who killed his brother in law for beating his sister repeatedly. He was acquitted. He later became an officer.

Worst is jail time. I believe you though, and maybe a jury would believe your brother too. And I hope that SOB gets convicted, if not on criminal charges, then in a civil suit.
