I don't understand how he came back?

While the curse was lifted in the first movie, and Barbossa died, he went to the 'end of the world' and came back - possibly thanks to the voodoo woman. This is what will be happening in the third film to get Jack back, so the precedent is set.

To answer the next likely question, the monkey is not 'still' undead, but undead 'again' because it took a coin at the end of the credits of the first film - that only affects the monkey, no-one else.

The monkey is still "undead" because he stole a peice of the treasure at the end of Part one (scene after the credits role) If you listen to Tia Dalma at the end of part two, she askes them if they'll travel to the end of the world to bring Jack back to life and that they'll need a captain who's been there. Suggesting that Barbossa had been dead and brought back the same way.

Part two was so full of mumbo jumbo, muddled plot and CGI that it's practically ruined the PotC franchise anyway. Hopefully, part three will be better.

I honestly have the reply. Watch the first Pirates action picture lower back. After the end credit it has a small Scene the position the monkey options up a coin of Aztec gold. keep in mind that the monkey continually returns to Barbosa's part. The monkey turns to the digital camera as a skeleton(the monkey is less than the curse). What must have occurred next? even as the monkey stole the gold, lower back to his Capn's part, Capt. Barbosa took the gold coin from the monkey(he's a Pirate, go ensure) and this re-instated the curse-sparring Barbosa's existence. The 0.33 action picture will prob. go more effective intensive yet it truly is my take.

I'm sure thats what they'll explain in the 3rd. It was supposed to be a huge surprise that he came back. But in the first one, it never specified that he was dead. He was most likely taken by that "witchcraft lady" since if you look in the background when they bring the Undead monkey to her, the monkey runs into a room with a man under some sheets and his boots are hanging, which is him most likely sleeping... or she brought him back.

My theory is that he went to the gypsy lady in the swamp and had her heal him. Unfortunately, I think we'll have to wait for POTC 3 to find out for sure...

The monkey's undead too. Remember, he can't die? I think it has something to do with the gypsy lady as well. By the way, YOU SPELLED HIS NAME WRONG!
