Okay, I currently have 0.00 in my paypal account. When I want to get an item from ebay, am I supposed to have the money for the item in paypal first or do I go through that process after?

PayPal will draw the money directly from your checking account if you have nothing in the PayPal account. So, you should be fine.

As long as you have a bank account (credit card) verified with paypal you'll be just fine. Paypal does the transfer from your bank account (credit card) for you when you pay for the item. My paypal acc always has a balance of 0.0 and I've bought dozens of things at ebay and other websites.

Hope it helps :)

When I use PayPal my debit card is charged. My account number is kept on file with PayPal, but I don't actually have any actual money in an account with them. I assume this is how all PayPal accounts work.

If you have a bank account connected with PayPal, they'll take the money out of there.

You can also use a credit card on PayPal.

PayPal will draw the funds from your account regardless of your account balance. Of course if you have less than the required fund on your bank account or credit card, you will be charged by your financial institutions.

You can go through the process afterwards, but make sure you will be able to pay for the item, otherwise the seller could report you. Most sellers give you at least 48 hours to pay.

It depends. Some ebayers what their money right away, others give 10 days etc. Since it takes 3 business days I would either put it in first or let the seller know whats going on.

Having a $0.00 is fine, as long as you have money in your checking account. You can send money directly from your checking via electronic funds transfer and you just deduct it in your check book.

you don't have to have money in your paypal account- in the checkout you have the option to have them draw it out of whatever account or credit card you have registered there .
