Limeware can carry viruses if you're not careful. All programs such as Limewire Kazaa and BearShare all can contain viruses, so your best bet is to pic one and Download virus protection software such as McAfee or Norton. I have Limewire and as far as music goes I really haven't had a problem with viruses. If you're wanting to download video or programs I would prefer you using torrents. I would get BitComet or BitTorrent. Good Luck

Yes, limewire does have a lot of virus files so just be careful what you download off their network.
I recommend the latest P2P platform called bittorrent, you download the torrents instead of being in a network through one program.

all p2p software bring viruses simply it sharing programs and if you can imagine the other side there is someone nasty bad person make viruses and inject it in the files and then put this files in the sharing folder .... so what you can do ... install a good trustable anti-virus like Kaspersky or nod32 and check the arrived files befor open it .... ooh before i go my favorite p2p software the (eMule) and you can download it from here:

morpheus is the best p2p,...it won't come with viruses like kazaa,..but yes cookies and a toolbar, and if you have ad-watch of ad-aware you already solved the cookie problem.
You can get morpheus from download.com , and after using it i doubt if you'll change for anything other than morpheus. Give it a try it's the best p2p right now

bearshare, but limewire dosent have many viruses i have had it for a while and have no viruses
