I'm not asking who started the most recent hostilities. Overall, who is the aggressor?

Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist organizations. They have always used illegitimate means to achieve their goals, including the intentional slaughter of innocents and non-combatants.
Israel just wants to exist and these groups are not prepared to allow that to happen. Much of the world, particularly Europe, has rewarded their behavior and legitimized their murders. That does not mean that H & H are in fact honorable groups.

Easy question, Israel is the aggressor. Hamas and Hezbollah are groups that are sick of Israel killing their families and decided to stand up for themselves.

it wasn't Israel who started anything. It started the day it became apparent that the modern State of Israel would become a reality. the arab nations attacked immediately and have been getting their butts kicked ever since.

I would say DEFINITELY Israel. They are the one who keep on bombing Lebanon, destroying their tv centers so the Lebanese people can't get any reports or anything.
Hezbollah and Hamas are DEFENDING themselves and trying to get what is RIGHTFULLY theirs.
