4 years..but the time frame isnt what matters..what is most important is have you given yourself time to resolve the old issues of your past marriage so that it doesnt poison a new relationship.
you have to take a lot of variences into consideration, like how easy or hard was the divorce, was there children involved & if there are, is there still a bitter battle over the children.
how long it takes a person to recover is different for every person.
i would strongly recommend going to a divorce recovery group and be sure that any bad feelings & memories of the past have been resolved.
give your new relationship the best chance possible to be successful.
Good luck

This varies, depending on the situations. Some get married as soon as the ink is dry because of affairs during the previous marriage. Some don't get married for several years because of lack of faith in taking vows again. Some wait a few months to a couple of years, and this all is based on the individual. No body thinks the same and the reasons for the marriage not continuing makes a big difference on when another one happens.

I aint even lying. I got divorced April 3rd 2006 and was married April 3rd 2006.

Guess you got to know the circumstances or I'd just look like a whore huh? I married my first hubby when I was 18 we split soon after and I guess I just got lazy about filing for a divorce and it wasn't until I met the TRUE love of my life that I set everything in motion. I'm 24 now.

I was single for four years. Should have waited a lot longer until someone better came along! Divorced again after 6 years.

Three hours. We had been seperated for a while though. I too should have stayed single....the marriage lasted 6 years before the jerk ran off with a girl he met on the internet. May he rot in hell.

I read somewhere that successful second marriages come at least 5 years after being single.
