Pretty low. SIDS risk is highest between 2 and 4 months old, in formula-fed babies, and in babies who are around people who smoke. Putting baby to sleep on his stomach doubles the SIDS risk compared to a baby who sleeps on his back. The risk of SIDS drops further at 6 months, and is *gone* by a year old. The definition (see sources section below) of SIDS is unexplained death of a baby less than a year old. (A person can die of unknown causes at *any* age, but before a year old, it is SIDS.)

They're all the same...SIDS is a risk up until age 1. Once my son knew how to roll over from back to front and front to back with ease, I didn't worry so much about it. I still didn't allow any loveys in his crib until about 10 months though. He's fine!

it entirely depends on all its surroundings. if the baby is breast or bottle fed, if it uses a pacifier, where it sleeps, what position it is placed in etc. you wont lower the risk by being worried. you will only lower the risk by being informed. i suggest looking up SIDS risks on line, maybe the American academy of pediatrics.
