Rats and mice are food for other animals (snakes for example). Insects pollinate flowers, are food for birds and lizards, etc...
Although I cant think of any use for cockroaches other than spreading disease and keeping populations under control.

Well you obviously dont understand the inter relationships in an ecosystem..... I will try to explain...first the only vermin on the earth are humans...we no longer fit any niche in the natural world.
Flies for one are an important part of decomposition without them there would be carcasses all over the world just laying there, maggots (fly larvae) eat the flecsh of rotting corpses and help it to biodegrate back into the ecosystem, in turn flies feed many other creatures like, frogs, toads, birds etc. Mice and rats also play an important role in the world, they clean up all sorts of organic debris, and keep certain plant populations to an acceptable level....I mean can you imagine if every single seed that fell from a plant was allowed to grow?? Also they eat many types of insects and larvae and worms in the soil helping to keep those creatures populations in check because as we all know prey without predators end up eating all thier food sources and eventually starving to death because of overpopulation.
Also mice in turn are fed upon by a huge variety of animals, who if deprived of thier food source would die...snakes, owls, hawks foxes, coyotes all feed on small rodents and need them to survive. Mice in fact are a Keystone species without which much of our ecosystems would collapse. I think you need to learn more about how ecosystems work and how each living thing is just as important as the next... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecosystem
also learn about the individual creatures you mentioned to learn what thier role is in an ecosystem... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockroaches

I can think of a useful part of the food chain that every vermin above has -- they all dispose of waste left by other animals, including us. Except mosquitoes. I think if all mosquitoes in the world were eliminated, there wouldn't be much of a negative impact. Some birds die. That's it.

they're part of the food chain, birds , fish , lizards, and small mammals eat insects, snakes, lizards, raptors, and cats eat mice/rats............every creature has a place.humans have just disrupted the food chain horribly by killing off large predators and stripping the land bare that we now have overpopulations of vermin because the natural order of checks and balances no longer exists.

All of the little rodent population are eaten by birds of prey and coyotes and my cat! As for flies, those plus cockroaches I haven't a clue, except maybe to be pests we hate the most!

Many of them dispose of waste, believe it or not. Even the most useless-seeming creatures have a purpose, whether we realize what it is or not. Sometimes we don't find out what that purpose is until we try irradicating that particular "pest." Our environment has a very delicate balance.

just what purpose do you have on this earth? Your question assumes that you have one. step back and look around you the earth is made up of millions of organisms and animals of which you are just another one. What is your purpose?

Try asking this in a diffrent catagory, such as science. This is NOT a philosophical question. They will be able to answer your question better.
