People who have lived after suffering a serious injury like being run over by a truck report that it happened so quickly that they only remember an instant of pain before waking up in the hospital. Dying from a long period of illness involves a lot more suffering than being run over by a truck.
But it's much more sensible to consider what happens after you die since everyone is going to die one day. The Bible says that it is appointed once for a person to die and then they face the judgement of God. Maybe you think that you are a "good" person and so you don't have to worry about that.
Leading a "good" life won't earn a person's way to Heaven. It's like if you ran a red light while driving your car and you went to court to talk to the judge about letting you off because it was an accident and you always try to obey the law. The judge is going to tell you that it's nice that you try to Obey the law but he has to Uphold the law, and therefore since you ran the light you're guilty and you have to pay the fine.
It's the same with God. He said that the penalty for sin is death. If He let you off that would make Him a liar and a corrupt judge. Let me ask you a couple of questions.
Have you ever told a lie? What do you call someone who tells a lie?.....A liar right?
Have you ever taken anything that didn't belong to you, even something small like a pen or something like that? What do you call someone who takes something that doesn't belong to them?.....A theif right?
Have you ever used the name of God or Jesus like a curse word when you were talking?.....that's comitting the sin of blasphemy.
So, on the day you pass from this earth and stand before God, looking back at everything you've done your whole life, do you think that God who knows all things would declare you innocent or guilty if He judged you according to his laws?
That's why God sent his Son to pay our sin debt for us. As it says in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:16-18
In that same chapter Jesus said: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Have you put your trust in Jesus' death on a cross as payment for your sin debt and asked to receive God's Holy Spirit so that you might be "born again" into the kingdom of God?
If not, then you're like someone who has heard a rumor that one of their relatives died and left them a million dollars but has never checked it out. The million dollars is waiting for them in trust but since they never believed enough to go and claim it the money isn't doing them a bit of good. It's the same with just giving and intellectual consent to the notion that Jesus died to pay for your sins. The Bible says that demons believe in God and they recognized Jesus as God's Son, but none of them are going to Heaven.

Even if it crushes your head, there still will be pain before your brain is too shmooshed. Some injuries I have experienced were largely painless although you think otherwise. Like my middle toe was broken at a ninety degree angle. Didn't hurt it just felt wierd. When I took my sock off I nearly passed out. Hurt like the devil when it was set.

It depends on if your spine breaks. IF so, you probably wouldnt feel anything, because there is no way for the "pain" sensation to reach your brain. Either way, I would highly reccomend not getting hit by a truck (or any vehicle).

I think it depends on what kind of injuries you have. It could be that you are knocked unconcious right away and therefore feel no pain, or that death is immediate. If you have injuries that you die later from, it is quite possible to feel quite a lot of pain.

I've never died...I'm not certain if it hurts or not. If you got run over by a truck and were injured enough to cause your ultimate death, and were still conscious, than yes, it may hurt. Are you asking because you are considering this as an option, or simply a thought you've had?
Just fyi...if you are considering it as an option, please check out the following website first. Best Wishes.
