They(Tom) are working on it. A bulletin was posted earlier today about the outage that happened.I love MySpace as do alot of ppl.I have even met and spoke to a few celebrities.You shouldn't judge.Yes,there are loads of other things to do on the internet but maybe some ppl prefer to hang out at MySpace because they have put alot of work into making it look good with layouts and pics or it's the main way they communicate with their friends.No biggie:)

I was on it earlier today. On their website it stated that there was a power outage in LA that affected the area and the location of where the MySpace servers are located. The battery back-up system failed so they're asking everyone to be patient until things are back to operating normally.

But... I had just located the myspace page of the a director I will be working with next month. I was busy reading over his stuff, and learning a bit more about him, when suddenly ***Poof*** I'd lost the page. Dammit... the guy had photos and comments about a few of the films he's worked on recently, and I was really excited to learn more about him... now ***poof*** he's gone?
I'm shattered.

I think it's really sad how such an internet giant has so many website problems. Even when there isn't a power outage it only works for me about 70% of the time. Now, a power outage in LA causes it to completely go down? Poor planning if you ask me. How can such a huge company let this happen. You don't see Yahoo! go down like this.

MySpace Power Outage shuts down site
Myspace.com posted an announcement tonight at 6:40PM PST time that their data center had a power outage. Tom went on to post the following message:
"hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom"
There were many bets placed to Tom and he has lost since it is now 9:40PM PST
