when we now know what is going on? why are they still in business? is there anything a person can do to close them down?

Because all they want is to make a buck, and people that don't care what their pets eat buy it cuz it's cheap.

Because we let them. There are many great raw food diets on the market for ease of time. I personally go straight to the source and buy my dogs and cats good quality meat and bones. Not only have they never had any illnesses, they heal fast from cuts and scrapes...my female slashed open her pad and despite the severity healled with no scar!!...my old male rescue who had been plagued by severe allegies all his life is now allegy free and medication free!!! If you want to stop the pet food industry, don't buy it and educate, educate, educate. But people will still choose the easy low cost kibble because they are cheep and lazy....if only they knew I can feed four 65 + pound dogs for less than $120 a month and never pay a single vet bill!!!!!

Basically, to make the most money, but now that animal foods are required by law (just like people food) to list their ingredients with the highest ingredient first, checking labels carefully is the best way to make sure you are feeding a good quality food to your pets. Watch for the protein source to be real meat, not by-products, which can include things like chicken beaks, feet, feathers or beef by-products that can legally include hoofs and any part of a cow that you wouldn't want to feed your family or your animals!
Reading labels is the best way to find a good quality food for your animals, but if you're changing from one food to another, do it slowly so you don't cause stomach upset or diarrhea, and watch for the amount of things like corn or wheat, especially if you're feeding cats.

You think that is bad???? Have you read the regulations on people food?? Do you know what's in a HOT DOG???
The FDA even has an allowance for bug parts and animal feces in their regulations. Trust me, you'd never eat again if you knew all that went on in the food industry.

why feed your animal pet food ? what were these animals eating before pet food was invented? my dogs eat table scraps they go to the vet regularly and they are very healthy. dogs have survived off of table scraps since the beginning of domestication. what makes them want to eat invented dog food? that is big corporation making people believe that their food is better. but like you say they fill their pet food with animal scraps and anything else to fill the bag.
