I was playing SOCOM one night and this spoiled sounding kid said that my name was gay and I got mad. I got even more mad when I couldn't respond and insult the little bastard.

I agree with some of the answers in the fact that it really doesn't matter what some punk little kid thinks... and you shouldn't get mad no matter what he says... frustrated, perhaps... 95% of the people in there wouldn't look me in the eye much less say the things they say to me, in the real world...
Just blow it off and dedicate every ounce of being to killing them in the game. Say nothing. Kill.
Now, in breaking down your name...
If I'm playing against you and have never heard your voice... I would assume that
A) you're black. African American. A brutha... whatever the hell we're calling it these days... and
B) You're antagonistic. A street thugish kinda hard-hittin' antagonist.
OR
C) You're a punk little kid.
By little kid, I mean under 18. Sorry, but I'm old and I prefere playing with people CLOSER to my age. I'm 37. Since the game IS rated M - for mature and is INTENDED to be played by OVER 18 adults, I get frustrated when 8 year old BOYS play and I simply have LITTLE in common with someone who can't vote, drink, drive and doesn't have a wife, mortgage, or family.
Sooooooo, either way, happy to answer... I wouldn't say the name is "gay," but it's not a super impressive name... but it's getting hard to be origional these days... my playing time on SOCOM 3 is limited in that, well, I'm getting bored with the game and looking forward to PS3 big time. However, look for me if you get the chance... PoorTwistedMe.

ah, he's a kid. no, it sure doesn't sound gay it sounds pretty verile, but he was a poser and a hater and only has a mouth, nothin else. kids don't have anything but their mouth, so let the haters hate while the black jaguars of the world silently and meekly kick their a**es :)

Yeah it kind of does. After all Jaguars are cats and people associate cats with women. Then you add black in there and it makes me think of catwoman. So your like cat woman. Yeah thats kind of gay.
