I had a co-worker who had dozens of little ones around her waist. She had them all removed by a doctor. She said she couldn't believe the pain she was in for days after the procedure.
If you don't want to go to the doctor, I would agree with tying some fishing line around them. Without blood circulation, they'll just eventually fall off. Good luck.

Method 1: Tie them off TIGHTLY with thin dental floss or sewing thread. You might need a friend to help get the knot really tight. In a few days, the skin tag will turn black and fall off.
Method 2: Use nail clippers. Toenail clippers are best because they go straight across. Be sure to boil them or soak them in alcohol before you use them to cut skin; you don't want an infection! Also be sure to clean the skin before cutting, and you might want to take a pain reliever and put some numbing cream or spray on it before your home operation.
Have fun!

If they're small, get yourself a pair of cuticle scissors (they have a small slightly curved blade) and cut it off with the curved side of the blade down. It will bleed like mad hell, so have some tissue ready.
Bigger ones really ought to be removed by a doctor.

I had a small one that I sort of twisted and pulled repeatedly until it came off. It took several days, and it was kinda sore in the meantime. I don't know if I'd recommend that, it could get infected.

FYI -- skin tags are often a sign of insulin resistance or diabetes. Get tested for these things if there is any doubt.

Unless you are willing to cut them off (clean razor blade) or tie string around them (not recommended) it is better to have a doctor freeze them off. Understand though, they will continue to come back even after this is done. I am plaqued with them also.

You got to be kidding ?The only way to get rid of them is to cut them off.Go to the doctor so we don't read about you bleeding to death in your bathroom, ya kook. It's usually in and out ...quick office visit.and usually covered by most insurance.just tell the doctor you always nic it when you shave.

The two options given sound so painful!!! Wouldn't those over-the-counter wart freezing kits work just as well?
