Becuase old prejudices linger on. Jews were often persecuted in Christian Europe and were the victims of purges and forced conversions. Christians considered the Jews to be "Christ killers" and believed in "replacement theology" which held that God had rejected the Jews as his chosen people when they rejected Jesus Christ and that the new Israel was the Church.
Because many Jews have some Middle Eastern ancestry from the days when Jews were expelled from their homeland, the Nazis continued the persecution of Jews but this time with a racial reason behind it. The Jews were not pure Aryan and this made them less worthwhile according to the Nazis. The Nazis ideas live on today and many people still consider even Jews with light eyes, skin and/or hair to be nonwhite.
Finally Arab/Muslim anti-Semitism has much to do with hatred of Israel. The Arab/Muslim world resents Israel for its success, and resent having a Western democracy in their backward region of totalitarian dictatorships. To them, ridding the Middle East of Jews is a kind of holy war in spite of the fact that Jews have lived in Israel for thousands of years, in spite of the fact that the Jews are the only people to have ever made Jerusalem their capital and in spite of the fact that promises of a Jewish homeland in Israel were made in the Bible, in Britain's Balfour Declaration and by the UN in 1948.

From what I gather, the so called "Christians" that hate Jews, do so because:
A: They believe Christ died at the hands of the Jews.
B: They don't believe that Christ was the Mesiah.
C: They forget that Christ himself was a Jew.
As for the other people that hate Jews (I am refering to muslims), they basically hate anybody who is an infidel. An infidel pretty much being anybody who is not a Jew.
What amazes me is how far back you can trace this hatred. Look at William Shakespear's "The Merchant of Venice".
The Jew in that story, Shylock, was portrayed as an evil, unscrupulous bastard who loved no man only his money.
I think what happens is one generation might find a legitimate gripe against someone of another race or religion, and it just snowballs from generation to generation. This eventually gets to the point in which no one is quite sure what the reasoning is for the hatred, but they do it becuase it is what is taught.

From my experience, most people do not hate Israelis, but many do GENERALLY dislike American Jews. There are alot of people in the world, with many life experiences different from your own. Have you ever lived in New York City, Miami, or places like Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and got held up in the back of a grocery line? Have you ever worked on Wall Street or perhaps in a large law firm?
Your perceptions of things might be different.

Good question...
No good answer from a secular perspective (why specifically the Jews, and why the hatred towards them across so many cultures).
However from a spiritual perspective, the Jews were chosen by God (about 2000 BC, time of Abraham) to represent him to the rest of the world... to be a blessing to the world...
This has caused Lucifer (fallen angel) to hate the Jews, and has caused many individuals and cultures to hate the Jews as well...
Cordially,
John

People hate each other, it's human nature. The Jews did some bad stuff to a certain Messiah, and they won't apologize, so the fight is on .

Too many stupid people want to blame their problems on someone else.
Examples
Coloreds cause crime
Blacks cause Violent Crime
Mexicans took our jobs
Jews control the world and Banks and are stealing all our money
Asians are forcing car dealerships out of business
Men and their evil penis's are the reason why I cant get any further in the work place
Woman slut their way to the top
You might want to watch Carlos Mencia, kind of vulgar but alot he has to say is true.

It's been that way since the days of Moses, maybe Abraham. But remember, they are God's chosen people, and He says He will bless them that bless the Jews, and curse them that curse the Jews.

Because it was prophesied by God that his people would be outcasts in the world, even though they were His chosen people. The Children of Israel were "homeless", and God promised them a home---a nation. God, very clearly, laid out The Promised Land. Unfortunately, because of sin, the Children of Israel are having to go through many trials before they will realize their full heritage from God----Israel---From Iraq, Iran, Syria, Palestine. Those are included in the land that is promised to Israel.
