Innocent people of both Lebanese and Israeli background are being killed.

About half the population of Lebanon is Christian, and has no ties with Hezbollah.

The majority of the Muslims in Lebanon do not belong to Hezbollah. e.g children

The leader of Lebanon does not support Hezbollah. He just has his hands tied because two members of his government belong to it.

What will be the outcome of all the violence?

Are our elected politicians going CRAZY? Too many leaders at the G8 Summit did not support an immediate ceasefire. At the G8 Summit, Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, referred to Tony Blair as a man of peace. Does anyone recall a few years ago when the people of Great Britain protested the idea of going to war with Iraq, and Tony Blair entered the country in the war against the wishes of the people who had put him in power?

People in both Lebanon and Israel are being punished because of an accident of birth, as it pertains to religion and geography.

Well Mr Jordanian you really need to get your facts straight.

Israel has been in existence before Mohammed started the Muslim religion. Don't try to blindsight the facts. As a matter of fact the Muslim religion has it's beginings in the Jewish religion. Otherwise how can you call Abraham your comon ancestor? I got you there, eh!

The problem which we have today would not have been a problem at all if the Arab nations had some sense in their thick heads. Why don't the Arab nations denounce terorism and militant groups like hezbollah, hamas, etc. and live in peace. It is the people who can stop this. Not the leaders.

Why do the Arabs hate the Jews so much? Did Mohammed preach that the Muslims should hate Jews? I don't think so. Maybe in the world He lived in He had to do what He had to do.
He was a man of God and I am 100% sure that in this modern world He would have denounced all this violence and would have worked to find a peaceful solution.

Is there even one Arab who sees any sense in this?

I agree people are being punished but not of accident of birth. But as an act of Hezbollah. If a Lebanon such a peaceful country WHY did they allow Hezbollah to bring Katyusha's and etc., to their territories. Hezbollah provoked Israelies. Hezbollah admitted, they were planning it for 5 months. Lebanon want a PEACE? Lebanon's President should give a kick in the Hezbollah's thick asses.

ignorant people say stupid things when they are uneducated, like the person above. did you know hezbollah was formed after israel invaded lebanon a few years ago, WHOS THE TERORIST. its in history, and usa does not teach history? well over here they do! did you know that there was no israel 50 years ago, there was palestine and israel invaded it and renamed it to israel, whos the terrorist. i really dot blame you for your ignorance buddy, its your media the does not tell the truth.

Yaa u r right ,,this is the time ,,cause Israel has already killed enough innocent civilians and now their own people are feeling unsafe in their homes ,,so they wanna stop now ,,not because of Leboneese but because of their own cities are at risk .

i agree with u, its not fair to kill innocent people, isralies should stop killing hundreds of innocents just for those 2 soldiers
