Even though I'm Puerto Rican, I do think Japan should have won.
I too, wonder if Puerto Rico was chosen because it's closest thing to America.
I also heard that Japan didn't win because she had one small eye, which I thinki s ridiculous.

No matter if I am Puerto Rican or not, that I still think it was the right choice for Miss Puerto Rico to be crowned Miss Universe 2006. She did an excellent job and has much more potential ahead of her.

I was hoping that Ms. Japan would win because to me she seemed like the best out of the group. I think that she was the most intelligent. I also loved her costumes. I didn't like Ms. Puerto Rico's hair at all, but that's just my opinion.

Hell no, Miss Japan should have one that one. She was cheery,sweet,photogenic,and ethnic.Her costumes we're great, I was also surprised that she spoke Spanish, cause to learn another language from Japan is hard.
I was pissed at that wack-*** event. Puerto Rico I didn't like her look or her walk at all. Maybe she was just picked because basically all the judges are close to American and Puerto Rico is part of America......

I like more Japan than Puerto Rico. Japan is more friendly and beautiful. Japan should be the MS. UNIVERSE 2006!

hey i just finished watching that too! i didnt see the whole thing from the very beginning of the pageant, but out of the top 5, i wanted switzerland or japan to win. japan could speak many different languages and was pretty, and i thought swtzierland was beautiful also.

Over Japan I think yes. She is beautiful but I think her answer wasn't enough to make her the big winner.

i would have to go with JAPAN I LOVED HER!!!! but at least she is 1st runner up but still should have WON!!! :( she did amazing from her dresses to her answer and she was very talented and beautiful
