If you are asking whether we believe Japan should have won, I will say YES, i agree with you. I am all for promoting the sistas (i.e., Miss Puerto Rico), but I believe she should have been 1st runner up.
Japan had beauty, style, smarts and a fun personality. She reminded me of Miss USA from Hawaii of a few years ago in that way.
I loved her Samurai costume and her French/English speaking (and she Speaks Spanish and Japanese (of course), too!).
So yes, I believe Japan should have won.

I agree Miss Japan should have won.
I'm sorry, but I found nothing special about Miss Puerto Rico.
It seems rare for Asian women to ever make it so far. I feel like the judging is somewhat bias.
Why do so many judges come from the US? Infact most of them did. I have always been curious about how judges are selected. Do they have to be celebrities?

No way!!! Miss Japan was just cute but that was it. Miss Puerto Rico was way better looking. I don't even know why she made first runner up. Paraguaya was better looking than her so was Mexico, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago. I guess they didn't want 2 latinas on top.

i so agree with you....i was rooting for Japan and Trinidad and Tabago....
i thought both of them were very pretty. nothing agaist Puerto Rico or anything but i swear a spanish speaking country wins alot of the time.....

ABSOLUTELY! she was so beautiful, sparkled and demonstrated she had an iota of personality and spontaniety. plus the fact she spoke several european languages and was intelligent. she would have been a very good Ms Universe. i was rooting for her all the way.
the winner looked so artificial and rehearsed. i have seen all those gestures and reactions before. boring. does anyone think that she resembles angelina jolie?
