Just sometime thing I'm curious about...and ladies..using the word "chauvaniusts" is not the answer!
It seems chivalry is just about dead and gone because feminists are taking the pride out of the male role in society, Men are sued for being themselves and women are still beating men down, even those that don't deserve it.
For example, there's a "Womens studies" forum topic in this social scienc section...yet, No "Men's Studies." Another double standard?

I agree 100%. As society evolves the role of the male is changing. I think sociology needs to take a look at it as men are relaly confused. If they open a door for a woman they are chauvanists. If they don't they are rude. If they pay for dinner....please call me. j/k. Seriously. Look at the number of single fathers out there these days. Sometimes due to mutual agreement because the dad is a better parent and sometimes because Mom decided she needed to look after her own needs for a while.
this is what the 'me generation' has done to society. I am not a feminist. I am a humanist.

*sigh* For centuries men have had it all. For a few decades women have been exploring the world and asking for equality. Women STILL only earn 60% to 70% what men earn doing the same job. I don't think men should be complaining, do you?

Men have the macho persona. Women are trying to come out of the supposed yoke of maledom, and are fighting for that right. Men are not.
