Darrell Hammond - 11 years. He started in 1995 and is still on. Tim Meadows and Al Franken are tied for second with 10 years, 1990 to 2000 and 1985-1995 respectively. But Al Franken was also on the show from 1975 to 1980. So for non-concurrent years Franken wins with 15. For concurrent years the answer is Hammond.

I'm going to go with Tim Meadows or Darrell Hammond....they were both on for quite a stretch...Hammond might still even be there? It seems with SNL, you either break into super movie star status, try to break into superstar status and fail miserably, or remain on the show for years and years....
The best years, in my opinion, were with Chris Farley. Although I like the reruns with Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy, and Gilda Radner, and John Belushi.
