ok, I can say i have discovered the glory of masturbating when I was at age 4, no joke, and ive been doing it ever since, im now 18 and im a guy.
well......is this at all normal? cuz i havent heard of any other individual whop has started masturbating at a young age like that.

some of u are stating that i was too young to actually "masturbate" and that i was simply "touching' myself, well the way ive touched myself always gave me that agic feeling and it is the same technique i still use today to mastrbate and it has worked for me well all the time.

That is pretty young. I was 10 and I had much the same reaction...I didn't even know what was happening I was so naive. It is perfectly healthy and even necessary physiologically. However, like any pleasure it can become somewhat of a psychological addiction and be sure you enhance sensitivity by using lots of lube rather than numbing your sensitive organ by going at it like a jack hammer....it makes for better experience for both you and your partner. Actually, masturbation should be looked at that way, in my opinion. As training for the main event when you come to share yourself with that special other person....which means working out with your soul, mind and body....as well as your organ.

A child discovers his penis at a very young age, & yes, he "plays" with it because it feels good (I don't know if you'd really call it "masterbating" at that age). I would catch my sons with hands in their pants while watching TV when they were small. I think sometimes they maybe didn't even realize they were doin it. I wouldn't shame them or tell them it was wrong, but that what they were doin was a private thing & I didn't want to watch... and they should go in the bathroom or bedroom if they wanted to do that. But even as you grow older, it's quite normal. If you are sexually active with a girl, or when you become sexually active, it is still "normal" to masterbate sometimes, as long as it doesn't become an obsession... more pleasureable than making love with a girl.

well 4 does sound young to me.. i know my little grandson that is 2 likes playing with his self.. he thinks it is funny and he likes to take his diaper off... but it probably is time for you to find satifaction with a woman.. maybe you will find you like that better..but kids do tend to experiment with things...so i do not know if it is normal or not.. it is normal for you to want the company of a woman......or a girl your age...i also do not think many would come forward and admit to what you have.. so that could be a good reason you have not heard about anyone that young starting that.. i had all boys but thank god i did not see them do that.. i know they had a lot of girlfriends....

Playing with yourself is not abnormal at any age, so long as it's done in private. A friend of mind had a daughter that did it from ages two to five because it was comforting to her. The family doctor assured them that there was nothing wrong with it, she just needed to learn that it was something to be done in private. It is not abnormal.

Surprisingly it's quite normal. All it means is that your body started to release hormones a little earlier than most people. Don't worry about it - a doctor would probably share a laugh and send you on your way.

Yes its normal, i read in some article written by some doctor in class that it starts even when you're a little baby and you're exploring your body. And since you realize that it feels good you keep doing it, its completely normal, unlike that picture that guy put above me LOL, that pic is so scary.

It does make me think of a related story.

If you aren't in any pain, you aren't hurting yourself, plus, your hand won't ask for child support in 9 months or say "sorry for the STD!"
I'm 8 months pregnant w/ a boy, in the last sonogram he was pulling on his penis, I was in shock, the sonogram lady wasn't! She said it was NORMAL!!!!!!!!! So much for 4 yrs old being too young!
