I assume you mean "zinc"

you have to calculate the amount of gas released in the reaction

knowing the amount of gas (thats the volume part of the work equation) and the atmospheric pressure (the resistance part of the work equation) you can calculate the work

the excess acid implies that all 500 g. of the zinc dissolve, the amount of gas released is the stoichemetric ratio for the zinc acid reaction
