Well I having looked at a lot of questions about 12 year old dating and even asked some myself but everyone keeps saying that 12 year old aren't ready or aren't mature enough. I know parents think that they should wait....but I think that they are ready because kids nowadays are more mature than they were 20 years ago or when their parents were teens. Maybe if 12 year olds just went to like carnivals of out to eat or somewhere the 2 families can go together and once the parents think can trust them alone..the 12 year old couple could go to a movie together but with a older sibling and thier b/f or g/f. What are ur thoughts? Don't give any crapy 2 sentence answers!

DUH they should date. I have been having a b/f since i was like 9. and now adays there are like little couples that are like 11 that do to the movies to see P-G 13 movies. So yeah 12 year olds are mature enough and they are in middle school so yeah.

I don't really think like ALONE dates, but maybe with a really big bunch of kids...like out to eat or movies.....but I would never trust a 12 year old going out.....just no..

middle school relationships are all pretty shallow anyway. it's like.. they hold hands and talk on the phone and are perfectly happy and that's cool. i don't see why you wouldn't let your 12 year old go to the movies with their bf/gf because what's the worse that can happen? not many 12 year olds are comfortable making out in the back of the theater anyway. it's better that then when they're teenagers and driving and can get in all sorts of trouble.

i think so. even though my parents are very against it but i still do it. my first bf was in the 6th grade. They should be given trust. they can go place with and without sibilings. y so that can learn from there own mistakes

look. im 13 and last year i had a bf that i did everything from kissing to oral to him going down on me. would u guys quit pretending that were lil kids cuz were not. and yes i regret it to all the critics out there

12 year olds are less mature now then they used to be. look at how many teen pregos there are now. I would say no 12 yr old is ready.

lol are you kidding? my sister is 12 and she isnt mature. mature my butt! they arent ready! maybe at 14 or 15, but not 12.

12 yr olds are no more mature than 20 yrs ago, you are confusing maturity with knowing about sex and seeing it everywhere. 12 yr old are IMMATURE period and have no business dating. REad the posts of the 14 15 yr olds that are pregnant. If you want this loser life, go act like a loser now. Play with your dolls and stay home!
