Well, poster #1's suggestion wouldn't work because we don't live in the county where our marriage license is on file. My parents are in a totally different state half way across the country from where theirs is filed.
You may have common-law marriage in your state. They may be married without anything offical on file.
Do they use the same last name? This isn't always a sure fire thing because not all women change their name.
Best best: Ask them!

I wish my life was so simple that I could worry about what other people are doing and how they are living. Mind your own f--king business and let others live their own lives and get on with yours. Love is love and marriage is just means way of controlling women. That is why they made them change their last names as to say you are my property now and I am a man . I just don't buy all of the BS of the government and the church but I do believe in minding my own business and you should to. Just besides someone does not live by your rules and does not have the same beliefs as you does not mean they are wrong. You must be a religious right nut case.

All you have to do is call the Court Clerk's office in your county, marriage records, and ask if they have a marriage license on file for the two people in question. It won't cost you anything, except if you want a copy of the marriage license.

shacking up for now, weve only been together for a year, and were only 23 with non-career jobs, little early for marriage.
As for a website, im sure the government census is public, you might find something there.

Uh, ask them. Does it really matter? After they have been living together for a year they are considered married (as in common-law marriage) up here in Bananada.

GOTTA LOVE PUBLIC RECORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but depending on where you live, there may be commonwealth laws in which a couple is considered legally married if they live together for more than a year or two

Ask her to see her wedding pictures. I have never met a happily married couple where the woman wasn't willing to share their "day"

Why don't you just ask them? If you can't the answer from them, then maybe that's a sign that you really should mind your business.
