International business and engineering? German is the language of engineering. But if you feel you have sufficient so you don't have to depend on a translator, think about Chinese. That's where the future development is going to take place and a knowledge of that language will help you enormously. Other useful languages would be French or Spanish.

A lot of businesses and governmental organizations are really looking for bilingual people. Some languages they seem to like are Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Chinese, and Arabic. I took Spanish since it's probably the closest of these to English, but it's up to you.

The most useful languages you could learn would be Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), Hindi or, given the geopolitical situation, Arabic or Persian. Too late really for Japanese or Korean as their booms are over.
European languages are fine but the future of world in the 21st century already is in Asia.

SO you know German quite well, and you know English, too?

Spanish, since it's spoken in several countries in South America and Europe, and it's also popular in the U.S.
