I have an old HP Vectra VL 6/266 Series 7 MT, which I want to open up. The only problem is there is a lock that I have to have a key to open it with. Well I don't have the key. Is there anyway I can open it without taking a blowtorch after it?

Make sure it's your computer first. How did a lock get on there and you don't have the key? Why would you ask how to take the lock off if you put it on?

Well make sure you have an extra case to switch everything to and break that thing apart. Just be careful while breaking. Other than that try picking it or get a locksmith.
