My mother just had me. But my father had 4 other siblings that I did not grow up with. The oldest two are females, 52 (they are only 6 months apart) then comes my brother 50 and then my other brother who is 44, I am the youngest at 42. I basically grew up an only child, since all my brothers and sisters were from different mothers, same father, except for one 52 year old sister and the 50 year old brother, they are from the same mother. I hope you can follow here. lol
Well, I love them all completely and unconditionally. I am pretty close with my sisters. And my brothers I love also, but since one is married and lives pretty far I don't see him very often. You have to realize, blood is thicker than water and regardless, even if you don't grow up together, you will want to get to know eachother. I grew up an only child, but I never consider my brothers and sisters, half brothers and half sisters. We are always there for eachother.
Our dad recently passed away, and for the first time ever, I was able to spend some time with the younger brother and the younger sister in the same house for about a week. It was the most awesome time, even though it was for our dad's funeral. I can just feel the happiness my father must have felt as we stayed in his house for that week, as if we were kids.
