If one believes pro-lifers ought to feel guilty if abortion is criminalized and thousands of pregnant woman/teens commit back-alley abortions, then should pro-choicers feel guilty for the 1.3 unborn children killed each year?

if you think you are woman enough to spread your legs then be woman enough to take care of your responsibility... women are so eager to grow up but dont wanna take responsibility for their actions. i work in a ob/gyn office doing medical billing and it sickens me to see how many girls under 16 give birth. and guess who pays for it.... yes americans.... our hard earned tax money goes to these women.... there are so many women out there who try so hard but fail to get to that point of conceiveing .... and there are sickos out there that are throwing babies away ... SHAME ON YOU.

I always get a kick out of pro-lifers and their belief that anyone who is pro-choice automatically is pro-abortion. I am a pro-choicer but I don't think abortion is the answer. However, I do not feel that I have the right to force my ethical and moral values on anyone. Free-will folks. How have we all managed to forget that? Free-will gives you a choice and whether or not your choice is a good one or a bad one, only you can make that decision. And when you make your decision, you'd better be ready for the consequences. I am so tired of everyone (including our government who has come to believe we all need our moral decisions made for us) trying to tell me what to do. Do I not have a mind of my own?? Am I not responsible for my own choices?? When the end comes, do I not have to answer for my choices alone? These are the things that form character. All pro-lifers seem to feel they can save the world from itself. Sorry kids, but we all stand alone in making our choices. That's what pro-choice means. I feel no guilt what-so-ever for what someone else decides to do with their life. I have enough to do handling my own life.

Guilt is not the worst thing to live with.

It keeps moral perspective.

Abortion/choice/ life /death/ killing innocents.

Guilt leads to empathy
empathy leads to understanding and peace.

Feeling a bit of compassion for a suffering person who has made a difficult decision is one way to make the world a little better.

Judgement without empathy is not moral.

I think when a girl starts her cycle her parents are responsible for educating her and providing birth control for her we tend to think abortion is the answer but prevention is the only sensible answer

No, because we don't count the not-to-term fetus as a child. Legally, they aren't counted as children, and I don't think they count as people with definite rights until they are viable. Since so many people disagree on this, fetus' rights legally end where the women's who are carrying them begin. Women are definite people with definite, agreed upon rights to life and self-determination, so yes, people should feel guilty if they pass a law that causes their deaths.

If both MEN and women take the responsibility not to create life they are not willing and able to take responsibility for all this would for the most part be moot.

I am not here to say who should and shouldn't feel guilty for what it is one has done. I think common sense should tell one what is right or wrong.
