Nope. You know, getting my tattoo didn't make me feel like I got something permanent. Actually, it had the opposite effect and made me remember just how temporary life is. I'm 26 now. How long am I going to have this tatoo? Fifty, sixty years, tops? Who knows, maybe only a year or two, or a month, or a day.
You might say getting a tattoo was a good thing because it helps me to remember. I won't regret that if I live long enough to start thinking about regrets.

Interesting question. I wanted a Tatoo since I was a teenager and was always worried about regretting it when I would get old. Finaly at age 35 I considered myself old enough to make up my mind. That was 5 years ago, and I still love it and will show it of with pride 20 years from now. Next time you run across somebody with one instead of thinking "yuck" find out what it means to them. You will be surprised.

Looks like you are asking 'Young people with tattoos' if they will ever regret getting them later on when they're old. If they are still young and your question looks to be directed at them i'm sure their answer will be 'No' because they are not old enough to know that they will not like them or regret them...
That is why they just got them!

No, I will never forget when and where I was when i got each of my tattoos. They are me, and I will hope that they represent me forever. I have never just gone in and picked one off of a flash sheet, they are my works of art. My body is a canvas, and I proudly display my tats. I got my first one 15 years ago (it was my birthday present from my dad). I have been hooked ever since. I am the first one to tell my high school students that are thinking about getting one to wait and really think it out. They respect that answer coming from me, because they know that I am tattooed...I hope to show them off until the day they creamate me because they represent who I am.

Well, I will definately say that there are going to be some pretty interestingly stretched tatoos in a few decades. I don't have any...yet..but I'm 44 and going to get one in the next month. I've been diagnosed with Lupus and since I'm not overly fond of wolves, I'll go with Lepus and I want to get a small were-bunny tatooed somewhere....maybe a shoulder. It'll be interesting when I'm 64!

Yes, i have tattoos and no, i will never regret getting them. What i put on my body is not for anybody else but me. Each one holds a different meaning or significance in my life. I will proudly wear them till i die.
The same concept works all throughout history. If nobody wrote down significant things things that occurred, then there would be nothing to remind us of events past. In our generation, we like to have part of our history and life meanings with us at all times.
Many people are getting 9-11 or Katrina memorials placed on them, but it is not necessarily just art. For people like me, it is a healing process, and helps us deal with our pain.

I definitely think so, imagine if you got a tattoo when you were 4 of Big Bird, its what you were into then but now, it would be ridiculous to have that...same thing for when your older. The things that are important now, won't be later for the most part.
