So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

There will never be peace there, because the two nations want to eradicate each other. The Islamic people believe that to kill an infidel is a sure way to their heaven. Unfortunately for most of the rest of the world, to them, anyone who doesn't believe as they do, is an infidel. I personally think we've messed around with them long enough. They're all ready to die anyway, so maybe we should just drop enough H-bombs on the area to melt all that sand and turn it into a great big mirror.

All of my life (20 yrs), I remember hearing everyday on the news about the Palestinians and Israelis fighting. I still don't really understand what all of that is about except a struggle for land. There isn't an easy answer to solving any of the problems over in the Middle East.

WHAT IS PEACE????

There has not been a time without wars and fighting since Biblical times, why should ther be peace time now ?

seriously.

BTW- That situationa has absolutely nothing to do with the Americans, there was blood shed daily years/decades before the US became involved in Iraq.

If I understand my Bible right, there will be no peace until Jesus returns. There is a verse (I don't know which one), but it says that the sword will never leave the house of David. Many of his descendants are over there. So far that prophesy has been fulfilled.

Peace, what a great concept, I don't think there has ever been peace in the middle east. They wouldn't know what to do if there was peace....

.There will be a false peace at some point.
I believe this current war could be setting up for he antichrist to make an appearance to help set up this false peace.
When the peace treaty is signed, you have seven years until Armageddon

Never is a long time. I'm sure eventually they will either wipe each other out or something else will happen that will be even worse and then it won't matter any more.
