Conservative women, built to last?

Any historian will state, "history always repeats itself". Such is true for feminism. Despite what many may think, American and the UK were not the first nations to experience feminism. Feministic uprisings have occured throughout man's history.

Yet, for various reasons, feminism always declines, (at least as history shows). The decline is always more subtle than the incline, but just as certain. Some causes are men's dominate nature, and economic depressions, (which force men and women to depend on one another). The "modern" woman comes and goes, but the conservative woman seems to withstand time. Of course, feminism may still linger "ungerground", but its influence has always diminished with time.

Will conservative women outlast modern women yet again?

well i still want to work but take care of a family at the same time. I hope conservative women do out last the feminists because they are getting on my nerves. But i don't want women to go way back where they can't do anything but pop out children and sit there while their husbands cheated on them. But i think you're right, conservative women are going to come back. They are going to realize that even though they do have the right to work they also have a job at home to take care of their families. The world will be happier without the effing feminists annoying us all.

Women are still pioneering what it means to be "Feminist".

Each woman has her own opinion just as we all are uniquely beautiful on the outside as on the inside. Since the "Birth - Control" (BCP) and "Abortion" was invented and mass distributed in the 1970's, women are learning what this "Option" is. Many of the women are finding out the these only offer the man to control women more by "Objectifying" women. Face it ... would Paris Hilton be a celebrity if the BCP were NOT available ... no, Ms. Hilton would probably be a mommy who's responsible for another human being ... her selfishness would change into a responsible adult. Instead, she's got the option to use BCP and make sex tapes, go clubbing, and be objectified by as many Truckers - Pharmacists - Politicians - and Lesbians who will pay money to see her objectify herself. Those women who are older than Paris are now voicing that they lived this life style only to have heartbreak, and an empty life.

However, with the BCP the feminists have also made some real life saving and society saving strides. I guess we are in this "Trial-n-Error" era where "Feminists" fail, and succeed. Conservative women too have a high interest in feminism, however, they also have great amounts to teach the liberal feminists and to voice their cautions to help women from failing.

If anybody knows what tomorrows future brings, I will say yes to your question. Conservative women WILL outlast the modern woman. It will be not by choice but by force. It will get to the point, we will be barely surviving, right down to the basics. First let me say, This is a Man's world! Why do I say that? GOD gave children to women.It is her duty to care for the child. GOD gave women to man, it is his duty to look after her and his household. That is why the man is represents" Head of the Household"
AS the economy looks bleak, we are all headed for a major disaster. When we got hit, with the Y2K , everybody freaked out going out to buy, batteries, water, etc. I knew from that moment on, it was the start of Prices going sky rocket. I said cigarettes and gas will be $5.00 . It will come to the point, that it will take a whole weeks wages to pay one household bill. So what does that mean? We won't be able to afford, living the luxury life. It will be the basics only. And what does that mean? MANY, MANY,BUSINESSES WILL COLLAPSE ! I can't stress that any stronger.!!You say History repeats itself? I believe that too. What happened to Rome? the rise and fall of Rome? This country will be and happen just like it did with Rome. It's going to be a disaster. The economy is rising faster than wages. We're going back to the basics. There won't be many jobs available, and since this is a Man's world. Most jobs will be given to the men first. That will force women, to be without jobs. It will take a weeks wages to go to the store just to buy groceries. Do women know how to make their own bread? Prepare meals from scratch? The Bible is tomorrows newspaper. Women will be saying, during the end times. I am married, I carry my husbands name. It's scary yet interesting, to see and experience all thats going to happen. And the women who knows the basics will outlast the modern women. We are all going to need survival skills. And no I don't attend any church or man made religion. I read for myself, with HIS help. There is nothing new under the sun. That means history does repeat its self. I Love It! Your question is so full of assumptions it's not possible to answer your final question because it contains a logical flaw. Feminism is on the decline from the 70's because so much has been accomplished. Women's salaries have risen; women can major in what they want, not in what the white men don't want; women can either work or stay-at-home with babies. These choices came from feminism, so it's no longer necessary to burn your bra to make a statement.
There are very few conservative women out there who don't make use of what feminism brought them: birth control, the vote, the right to work for a living wage, the financial ability to leave someone who is beating the crap out of you, and the right to say they are conservative while leaving their children in day care.

Conservative women will always be around for one simple reason. They play into the role women are intended to play on this earth. That is, the weaker, more vulnerable members of society. And women will ALWAYS be that way, because that's how it is. Women will never be the dominate species in society. But who says that's a bad thing. It's just the way it is. So yeah conservative women will always outlast feminists.

Yes....there will always be a need for the child bearing, home manager. Those women with strong conservative values of home, family and fiscal responsibility will always outdate, outrun and outservice the nations needs as a whole...now if we can only get them to put out a little more often...we would have Utopia!

I am a strong person , I will survive anything that comes my way! My Children will be with me in anything that happens, they are Strong!

How far back do you want womens rights to go? As far back as the Taliban took em? Don't you think women should have some choice in who they marry, if or when they have sex, or if they want to work outside the home? Shouldn't a woman be allowed to do any job she's qualified to do? Or should they just become mens property? You owe your mother, your sister, your daughter better.

Don't you just LOVE it when people use this forum to preach!

I believe in being myself and having the freedom to live life as I choose. Now whether that makes me a modern woman or a conservative one, I don't know and frankly don't care.

I hope that it will last long enough for me to go to finish college. But definitely, women have a role to play in the household, and I think a lot of them forgot that.
