To be honest with you I have asked myself that same question. I am a teacher and even though we all don't act the same many of us do. And most of the time we forget that we were young once upon a time and forget how we would have love to be taught. I if ask this question because one of us has hurt or offended you then I will apologize for all of us. We are not hear to insult nor offend we are here to educate. Do me a favor don't think of us as all the same. Trust me, I will never say all students act the same because they don't. God Bless.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. I don't know if you like the way your teachers act or not.
Teachers are human like anyone else. If they are acting angry or annoyed, they could be having a bad day, not feeling well, have a migraine or problems at home. It is impossible to always pretend as though everything is always okay. Some teacher may act grouchy all the time because they hate teaching. I have worked with a few teachers that hated teaching but didn't want to lose their retirement benefits so they wouldn't quit.
When teachers are creative, nice, caring and helpful, they are acting this way because they care about their students and want them to learn.

Some teachers are on a power kick, some have a**hole husbands or wives, some people are naturally grouchy and upset, teachers, doctors, the lady at Sears. Maybe a bad time in their life, divorce, death of a family member. If you have low selfesteam the kids can really hurt you. Give the teacher a break you're only with them an hour or so a day, they're with kids all day.

All teachers do not act the same way, just as all human beings do not act the same. However, I'm going to say that all teachers should act the following ways: professional, competent in their subject matter, interested, motivated, responsible, pleasant, focused, and demanding.

Some need to take charge. If they lose control of the class, some teachers panic, act mean, and do everything to regain control. The bottom line is some are just mean.

Why does anyone act the way they do?
What do you mean exactly.

You mean why do they push you and challenge you to do more than you want or think you can do????

Because they care and want you to be better than that.

Because of the ridiculous way students behave and their lack of interest in anything that lasts over 30 seconds.

Why do students act the way they do?

Probably because they have the incredible task of trying to teach teenagers manners, writing skills, math skills, people skills, and job skills. They must do this against the will of spoiled little self-centered brats whose parents are too afraid to tell "NO."
