Getting a pardon is only possible if you are currently serving a sentence. If you are doing the punishment right now, then you want a pardon to release you from the sentence. It does not take the crime off your record.

You are wanting to have your record expunged, which means you go to a judge and ask that your crime be taken off your public record or sealed. I think a lawyer would be better at helping you go through the procedure of getting it done, as well as explaining things.

Good luck!!

They should be grateful to give you a pardon. Take all the records and make a copy of them and send them in to whichever office handles your case....GOOD LUCK!!!!

It all depends what you did that landed you in HOT WATER. Maybe you should ask the Authorities, or call your Governors Office and find out.

I think the term you're looking for, unless you are still in jail, is "expungement".
