In the last scene, where the crew agrees to search for Jack Sparrow, who walks down the stairs to be their new captain? He is the one holding the green apple.

He's Barbossa, who was in the first Carribean movie. He was Capt Sparrow's first mate, who ended up going against him, deserting him on an island with a gun holding one bullet, and took over the Black Pearl. I'd suggest watching the first movie to understand what will or might happen in the third.

That's captain Barbosa, from the first potc movie. Barbosa led the mutiny against Jack Sparrow and left him stranded on an island. The crew was under a curse that they could not die, or feel anything until they returned all the coins from a chest of aztec gold. At the end of the first, Jack shoots him before he can get a chance to eat an apple which was his favorite food.
You should see the first movie, I liked it better.

Captain Barbossa and his evil little monkey Jack (which they named after Jack Sparrow) walk down the stairs. Barbossa was the old captain of the Black Pearl, and Jack supposedly killed him. He is going to captain the ship to find Jack.

*sigh* No one is spelling it right. His name was Captain Barbossa (Captain Hector Barbossa, if you'd like his full name); the villain from the first movie. He marooned Jack ten years before the opening of the first movie and took over the Pearl. Jack shot him at the end of the first movie; and yet he's alive. He also had quite the obsession with apples and the undead monkey (Jack) belonged to him.

captain barbossa from the first movie. he was the captain that took the black pearl from jack sparrow...everyone thought he died in the first one, but since his monkey stole a piece of aztec gold at the end of the first movie, he and the crew of the black pearl are still cursed!!!!!

hhe was captain barbosa of course!!! he was the one in the first movie that used to be the captain of the black pearl...but jack sparrow took his place! and he'll be back in the third!!
