This is not a question about the war in Iraq. This is a question about how honest and balanced TV news is in general.

I think far too much is missing from our news. The media tends to sink its teeth into a story and then go on and on ad nauseum. I think they are fairly honest, as far as they go. I guess I prefer newspapers to TV news because there is much more information. Balanced? Not at all. An example is the coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. All we hear about is New Orleans. What about all the other places that were devastated?

Biased - i saw this clip on north korea - and everything they were saying, along with the scary music... it doesn't perfectly fit. I know north korea isn't an angelic country, but at the same time, people have houses, they don't live in shacks, some have cars, there were even shops with people selling stuff. They were showing some crap about a kid stealing an umbrella - how that's all he could do to survive, and the woman saw him and took it back. I expect that if a little kid stole something from my store i wouldn't let him run either.

As far as i know, people in some african countries have had huge attrocities commited against them, - anyone remember the tutsies and the hootoos - i apologise for the probable wrong spelling. That genocide which wiped out atleast a million people got backpage news spots. So - if the country of interest that you have problems - build support, take random pictures of places, dub conversations that you don't know what they are saying, but best of all, make them sound really terrible.

Really watch and think about the stuff you see. Like does this or that picture fit with what they are saying.

TV news is probably anything but honest and balanced. It is more the view of the reporter than really the news. You know the old saying about not believing anything you see or read. But then that applies to all news not just American reporting.

The news is slated and always has been. It has gotten worse since the Vietnam War. The news use to report the good things and now if something good happens it is only a footnote and not shown as a feature story.

Yes...I think everything is biased. Even EVERYONES answers in every question here....even mine.

Personally, I feel like FOX news is less biased than CNN, CNBC, and local channels (in liberal areas). Yes, Fox news seems to be conservative, but usually that they say are facts. Unlike people at CNN, they specifically use words to make things opinionated.

I heard on one channel some guy was saying, "Bush's 'so called'" whatever....but by using "so called" it makes Bush look bad. Stuff like that usually happens on CNN.

When FOX news talks about liberals, or about world events, or internation leaders, they NEVER downplay it by using "so called".

I think it depends on your views. I say Fox news is totally right wing, but conservatives don't. I watch CNN and MSNBC, but I'm sure that conservatives would say that they're left wing. So, I don't think it's really a simple yes or no answer.
