WHere did the saying , they are from the other side of the tracks or they are from the other side of the railroad tracks, come from. Why? WHen?

When-Early 1900's. Why-the poor live where they are forced too, and that is right where all the industry was built during the indurstal revolution. You had to build your place close to your workers. So you had the low income housing, right next to the factories. Trains took all the materials back and forth. But once you crossed the train tracks, you entered the quiet rich folk areas...with no factories or bad smell or noise all night.
